SIP Calculator

Estimate the future value of a monthly systematic investment plan, with optional annual step-up.

How this calculator works

A SIP (systematic investment plan) invests a fixed amount every month, usually into a mutual fund. Enter the monthly amount, expected annual return, period and an optional yearly step-up. The calculator compounds monthly and shows the total invested, estimated gains and a year-by-year table.

Why step-up matters

Raising your SIP by even 5–10% a year — in line with salary growth — can increase the final corpus dramatically compared with a flat SIP, because the larger later contributions still have years to compound.

Frequently asked questions

Are SIP returns guaranteed?

No. Market-linked returns vary year to year; use conservative estimates.

Is SIP better than a lump sum?

SIPs spread purchases over time (rupee- or dollar-cost averaging). A lump sum invested earlier can earn more in rising markets but carries timing risk.

Does this account for tax?

No. Taxes on gains depend on your country, fund type and holding period.
